Ruapehu Operations and Maintenance

Veolia Water provides operations and maintenance services covering Ruapehu's water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure. This long term contract serves the district's population base of 14,000 which increases to 25,000 during the winter ski season.

The contract scope includes operating and maintaining:

• Seven small water treatment plants and six wastewater treatment plants
• 190 km of water distribution network, including four pumping stations, 14 reservoirs and 4,500 connections
• 92 km of wastewater network, including 17 pumping stations and approximately 3,700 connections
• 54 km of stormwater pipes and open channels
