Bayswater Power Station is a coal fired power station located in the upper Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. It is the largest Australian energy producer with a capacity of 2,640 megawatts.
Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, the technical division of Veolia Water, upgraded the power station's cooling water treatment plant.
The water treatment plant is minimising environmental impact by recycling and treating cooling water for use in the power station and ensuring no contaminants reach the local waterways. The plant also reduces the level of salt discharged into Lake Liddell, which is a partial source of water for the power station.
Veolia Water provides ongoing operations and maintenance of the upgraded treatment plant.
