Kids Teaching Kids Youth Environment conferences
In 2010, Veolia Water funded students from seven schools to attend their local Kids Teaching Kids Youth Environment conference and present on water based issues. Our sponsorship also provides the Kids Teaching Kids program with resources and equipment to help students gain awareness of environmental issues and changes. This sponsorship recognises the role of young people as the future of environmental change.
The Kids Teaching Kids program works with young people to make a positive contribution to environmental change, using important environmental issues as a theme around which students design presentations and workshops which they present to other young people at the annual Kids Teaching Kids Environment Conference.
Young Water Professionals
Veolia Water also actively and financially supports the Young Water Professionals - an enthusiastic, special interest network within the Australian Water Association which strives to engage, represent and inspire younger or newer sector employees.
In both 2008 and 2009, Veolia Water sponsored the NSW Young Water Professionals water seminar series, bringing industry experts to address common themes faced by today's water industry. Veolia Water has also supported and sponsored other Young Water Professionals events such as mentoring breakfasts - helping younger members of the water industry find an experienced water industry mentor.
