Thames-Coromandel is a district in the north east of New Zealand's North Island and includes the towns of Thames, Coromandel, Whangamata, Tairua, Pauanui, Cooks Beach, Hahei, Whitianga and Matarangi.
United Water (a Veolia Water subsidiary) operates and maintains the district's 10 wastewater schemes, 11 water schemes and all stormwater assets.
The district is a popular summer and vacation destination for New Zealanders. It has a residential population of 25,000 people which can swell to 150,000 during peak holiday periods.
