Veolia Water commenced operations in Australia in 1994 and in New Zealand in 1997.

It delivers, operates and manages water and wastewater infrastructure for municipal and industrial customers.

There are two Veolia Water subsidiaries:

Veolia Water is involved in some of Australia's most significant water infrastructure projects including the South East Queensland Desalination Plant, scheme operator of the Western Corridor Recycled Water Project, Queensland, and the Sydney Desalination Plant (upon completion).
