Pilot testing is an important element of Veolia Water's project development.
An optimum program for customers is developed depending on the application and key issues to be studied. Pilot studies include technologies such as :
- Membrane processes for reuse (e.g. MF, UF, RO and MBR),
- Seawater desalination pre-treatment and RO membrane systems,
- High rate clarification and filtration processes,
- Advanced treatment processes (e.g. ozone, activated carbon, UV),
- Veolia Water proprietary processes, such as ACTIFLO clarification and INOS sludge drying.
Pilot plant testing allows process selection viability to be confirmed, design parameters to be established and operating protocols to be developed.
