Aqua Project
The Aqua Project, delivered and operated by Veolia Water, provides high quality potable water to a population of 80,000 in Victoria's Bendigo area.
The project incorporates three water treatment plants using microfiltration (CMF-S and CMF), ozone and Biologically Activated Carbon (BAC) filtration technologies.
The main plant in Bendigo has a capacity of 126 ML/d and features submerged microfiltration technology (CMF-S).
Veolia Water wins water management contract for the city of Kunming (China) worth over 1.6 billion euros
In November 2005 Veolia Water was awarded the contract to manage the water services for Kunming, China, a city with over 3.5 million inhabitants and the capital of Yunnan province (south-west China), under a public-private partnership.
The 30-year contract, which was awarded following an international competitive bidding process, is set to generate revenues totalling over 1.6 billion euros over the period.
