When did you join Veolia Water?

I joined Veolia Water in July 2008.

What does your role involve?

I am responsible for managing Health and Safety across New Zealand, including our interactions with the environment. I am also responsible for managing the company's business systems across New Zealand.

What do you like most about your role?

My role is varied which makes it interesting - no two days are ever the same. I enjoy working with people and am proud to say that I know all of our staff (other than the few who have just joined the company). I endeavour to get out to each contract at least every two months and I enjoy spending time with "the troops".

What are you currently working on?

I have just completed a corporate Health and Safety road show with the General Manager and Operations Manager. Road shows involve visiting our various sites to give face-to-face presentations to our employees. They're a great way to bring important issues to the forefront and meet the team.

What's the best thing about living in New Zealand?

The people and great motorbike riding.
